Rising health care costs are squeezing the budgets of all Minnesota families and
employers. That’s why Rep. Klinzing supported health care cost containment
legislation in the 2004 session. Klinzing voted for reforms that give small
businesses greater flexibility in providing affordable health insurance coverage
for their employees, and a tax break for people considering lower-cost,
consumer-driven Health Savings Accounts. Klinzing also voted to increase
competition in Minnesota’s health insurance market by allowing for-profit HMOs
to operate in our state (only non-profit HMOs can offer insurance here now), and
she voted to reduce expensive government regulations that are driving up health
care costs for everyone.
