The best way to improve the state’s budget situation is to improve
Minnesota’s job climate. As the number of new jobs created in Minnesota goes up,
so does the state’s treasury. That’s why Rep. Klinzing has been a consistent
supporter of pro-job growth legislative initiatives, including cracking down on
frivolous lawsuits and balancing the state’s budget without raising taxes. These
policies have helped encourage more entrepreneurs and businesses to start up and
expand in Minnesota, dramatically improving our job market: In April, the
state’s unemployment rate dropped from 4.8% to 4.1%, the largest one-month drop
in Minnesota history.
