Klinzing is widely recognized as one of Minnesota’s most
fiscally responsible legislators. Karen scrutinizes every dollar
the state spends and stands up for taxpayers on every vote she
takes. An advocate of tax relief, this year Karen helped
eliminate the state’s marriage tax penalty, saving over 500,000
Minnesota families $28 million. Karen also helped prevent over
37,000 middle-income Minnesota taxpayers from being hit by the
costly and confusing alternative minimum tax (AMT).
